Scott Vicknair Personal Injury Lawyers proudly surprised Sydney Grimball Banks, a teacher at ReNEW Laurel Elementary in Uptown New Orleans, with a free cruise as the winner of the firm’s annual High Seas and ABCs campaign.

The surprise presentation took place on May 18 at the school, where faculty, students, and staff gathered as Banks learned she had been selected for the award. The emotional moment celebrated her dedication to education and the lasting impact she has made on students and the school community.

“It means a lot to be recognized,” said Banks. “This is so exciting!”

The High Seas and ABCs campaign was created to recognize educators across the New Orleans area who go above and beyond for their students. Community members were encouraged to nominate teachers who demonstrate exceptional commitment, compassion, and leadership inside the classroom.

Banks was selected for her continued dedication to her students and the positive influence she has had within the ReNEW Laurel Elementary community.
