Using the form on this page, eligible students can submit their application for the scholarship. The required information includes contact details, academic background, and an essay of no more than 750 words explaining what experiences in their life that had an impact on their interest in law. Once submitted, applications will be reviewed by our scholarship committee.

The application deadline is September 1st each year, and the awardee will be selected and notified by September 30th.

We strongly encourage qualified students to apply for the Scott Vicknair Law Scholarship, as it is a wonderful opportunity to receive funding for their degree.

Both founding members of the firm, Brad Scott and David Vicknair, are natives of Lafourche Parish and received undergraduate bachelor’s degrees from the College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University. The $1,000.00 annual scholarship is a small way that our firm can give back to aspiring students and future leaders in the legal community in our state and country. We recognize the strength of our legal system is the interest and passion of young, new members of the bar who can contribute and make legal services more readily available to our communities across this state and country.
