Teachers make a lasting impact on their students, schools, and communities every day. The Scott Vicknair All-Star Teacher Award was created to recognize Louisiana educators who go above and beyond for their students and give back to the communities they serve.

The award is inspired by a teacher who has a special place in the heart of Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers’ founder, David Vicknair. David’s mother, Mrs. Martha, was a Louisiana teacher for more than 30 years. Her dedication to her students gave David a firsthand understanding of the difference a great teacher can make in a child’s life.

Recognizing Teachers Across Louisiana

The All-Star Teacher Award is open to nominations from across Louisiana, giving communities an opportunity to recognize an exceptional educator. Nominees may be teachers who inspire their students, create a positive classroom environment, overcome challenges, or make a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.

This is the first year Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers is hosting the All-Star Teacher Award, with plans to recognize outstanding teachers through two award cycles.

All-Star Teacher Award Schedule

The award will be presented in both the fall and spring, giving Louisiana communities multiple opportunities each year to recognize an outstanding teacher.

Fall Award Cycle

September: Nominations open
October–November: Voting
December: Winner announced

Spring Award Cycle

January 2027: Nominations open
February–April: Voting
May: Winner announced

One deserving teacher will receive a $500 gift card as a special thank-you for their dedication, passion, and positive impact.
