Celebrating the educators who make a difference
The Scott Vicknair All-Star Teacher Award is our way of recognizing the teachers who go above and beyond for their students, schools, and communities. We believe educators play an important role in building strong, thriving communities, and their dedication deserves to be celebrated. Through this award, Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers highlights an outstanding local teacher whose passion, commitment, and positive impact in the classroom inspire the next generation. Each award gives the community an opportunity to nominate an exceptional educator and thank them for all they do, with one deserving teacher receiving a $500 gift card as a special recognition of their dedication.
High Seas & ABCs
Celebrating the educators who shape our future
High Seas & ABCs is a community campaign that recognizes outstanding educators across Southeast Louisiana. Community members nominate teachers and school staff who have made a meaningful difference in their lives or in the lives of their students. Each year, one deserving educator is awarded a fully paid cruise vacation as a thank-you for their dedication and impact on the next generation. The program highlights the vital role educators play in shaping communities and allows the public to share stories of the teachers who inspire them every day.
New Year’s Eve Uber Campaign
Equipping LA students for a successful school year
Project Backpack is our annual back-to-school initiative designed to support students and families in need. Each summer, we distribute hundreds of backpacks filled with essential school supplies like notebooks, pencils, folders, and other classroom necessities. The program helps ensure that every child starts the school year prepared and confident while reducing the financial burden on families. In recent years, the initiative has provided hundreds of backpacks to local students and schools across the New Orleans area.

Helping our community celebrate safely
New Year’s Eve is one of the busiest nights of the year—and one of the most dangerous when it comes to impaired driving. To help keep our community safe, Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers provides $10,000 in Uber ride credits to local residents celebrating the holiday. The program offers vouchers for rides home between New Year’s Eve evening and New Year’s Day morning, encouraging responsible celebrations and helping prevent drunk driving accidents.
Operation Fur-Ever Home
Helping pets find loving families
Operation Fur-Ever Home is a community pet adoption event that brings together local animal shelters, rescue organizations, and families looking to adopt. Hosted in downtown New Orleans, the event creates a welcoming environment where people can meet adoptable dogs and cats while learning about the adoption process. The event supports local shelters and encourages responsible pet adoption while helping animals find their forever homes.

Hogs for the Cause
Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers proudly supports Hogs for the Cause, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping families of children battling pediatric brain cancer. Through sponsorships, participation, and community involvement, we help raise funds that provide direct financial assistance to families and support hospital programs dedicated to pediatric brain cancer care.
Pro Bono Community Support
Providing legal help where it’s needed most
Giving back through legal service is a core part of our mission. Our attorneys regularly provide pro bono legal work to individuals and organizations that need help but may not have the resources to secure representation. We also assist nonprofit organizations and community advocates working to create meaningful change in Louisiana communities.
Partners in Paws
Supporting the people—and pets—who need it most
Partners in Paws is our ongoing commitment to supporting local animal rescues, shelters, and the families who love their pets. Through this initiative, Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers partners with community organizations to provide resources, raise awareness, and create opportunities for animals in need to find safe, loving homes.
