A Record-Breaking Success
Scott Vicknair Injury Lawyers is proud to celebrate the tremendous success of its third annual Project Backpack initiative, which exceeded expectations by distributing over 1,000 backpacks filled with essential school supplies to students and families across the New Orleans community.
The event, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Five O Fore Golf, brought together community members, volunteers, and local partners who made a meaningful difference in the lives of hundreds of students preparing for the school year. The overwhelming response demonstrated the community’s shared commitment to supporting education and strengthening the New Orleans area. Given the tremendous success of this year’s initiative, we’re already looking forward to an even bigger and better Project Backpack in 2027 and we hope you’ll join us again to make next year’s event bigger than ever.

What is Project Backpack?
“Back-to-school season can be stressful for so many families, and we want to help ease that burden,” said David Vicknair, founding partner of the firm. “Education has always been important to my family. My mother worked in education for more than 30 years, so I grew up seeing firsthand the impact that teachers and schools have on students’ lives. Project Backpack is one small way we can support students and parents while showing how much we value education in our community.”
Project Backpack is part of the firm’s larger commitment to supporting education and strengthening the communities throughout the New Orleans area. The initiative reflects the firm’s belief that investing in students today helps build stronger communities tomorrow.
