The Scott Vicknair Law Firm Scholarship is awarded annually to one undergraduate student at Nicholls State University who has an interest in law as a professional career or who has a unique academic interest in law. The annual award is provided to one undergraduate of any credit classification, with the requirement being that the student is originally from Lafourche Parish. All prospective undergraduate applicants submit an essay explaining their interest in law and why they would be a good recipient of the scholarship. This scholarship provides an opportunity for one outstanding undergraduate student to pursue their educational goals in law while helping them financially.
Both founding members of the firm, Brad Scott and David Vicknair, received undergraduate bachelor’s degrees from the College of Business Administration at Nicholls State University. Both David and Brad also are originally from Lafourche Parish.
The $1,000.00 annual scholarship is a small way that our firm can give back to aspiring students and future leaders in the legal community in our state and country. We recognize the strength of our legal system is the interest and passion of young, new members in the bar who can contribute and make legal services more readily available to our communities across this state and country.
The deadline for application year 2023-2024 is open! Please submit your applications on the Nicholls scholarship website to be considered.
