I am primarily focused on helping clients navigate the often-complex area of probate administration to ensure assets are passed properly to the heirs. I take the time with each client to walk them step by step through the probate process. However, sometimes when family members disagree, I am there to help guide those families through the estate litigation process by analyzing the issues and providing a in depth, methodical approach that provides clients with peace of mind that they are receiving the help they need.
My practice also involves advising clients on wills, estate planning, trust administration, and marriage contracts.
Before attending law school, I worked for eight years as a paralegal in the estate and tax section where I learned the importance of the procedural side of the law. Today I bring that understanding to my practice as an attorney.
Prior to joining Scott Vicknair, LLC, I worked as In-House Counsel for a Florida holdings company advising them non-compete agreements and various labor and employment issues as well as reviewing master service agreements. I left to begin working in the Jefferson Parish Attorney Office as an Associate Attorney where it was my responsibility to review agreements to ensure compliance with ordinances, advised various departments on parish polices and review resolutions and agreements for placement on the Council agenda.
I am a proud New Orleans native who graduated from the University of New Orleans and later attended Southern University Law Center. When I am not working, I enjoy cheering on the New Orleans Saints, watching movies with my husband and daughter and scuba diving.
I have served and continue to serve as the President of the Ursuline Academy Family Network and is also a member of Ursuline Academy’s Planned Giving Committee.
